Having grown up as the daughter of immigrants, my work applies community-centered documentary tactics to amplify stories at the intersection of justice and human relationships, looking at topics like labor, housing, migration and sustainability.

<aside> ๐ŸŽฅ My personal documentary short, Golden Boy, explores themes of reconciliation, immigration, and caregiving in the aftermath of my motherโ€™s brain injury, and is currently looking for distribution. Chinese Film Festival, Seattle Asian American Film Festival, Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (Jury Award - Documentary Short), Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival, DOC NYC.

<aside> ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ As a member of Brown Girls Doc Mafia, Asian American Documentary Network and Asian American Journalists Association, I have received generous opportunities to amplify stories about community resistance in Los Angelesโ€™ Chinatown, intergenerational restaurants in Koreatown, and youth mobilization in suburban Fremont, California. My work can be found on NBC Asian America, Hulu, HBO Max, CNN+, Waterbear, and various other platforms.
